The objective of this blog is for me and the Diploma team to contribute or describe our journey with all aspects of Moodle and the Diploma.

  2. As a course tutor/ leader for the Higher Diploma, I have taken the initiative to pilot the new Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle/E-Me) along with the delivery of the Higher Diploma last year 2008/09. The following are the aspects of Moodle/E-Me that I have tried and used:

    - Uploading resources
    - Mahara for learners to showcase/ submit their
final work for marking and external moderation
    - Chatroom
    - PDP for Personal Learning Thinking Skills
    (PLTS) recordings

  4. I use Moodle (eMe) for all of my classes. I find the facilities are generally adequate. I have found it reasonably easy to use once I understood the somewhat inflexible and clunky interface.

The assignments and assignments marking system is very good and I have used it successfully with all my groups, but particularly the Advanced Diploma group.

There is a confusing lack of clarity about the identity of the system when some people refer to it as Moodle and others as eMe. There is a brief explanation on the Help pages, but, perhaps there should be a line somewhere that says something like; eMe using the Moodle e-learning system.

One complaint from the students is that eMe is often not available. I have to agree that we have had a large number of availability problems so far this year.

  5. There is no chain of command with the tutorleader.com blog. Everyone in the party gives you the obligation for that operate. In essence, each and every university student in the party isn't thought of any kind of above yet another due to the fact most people are performing her or his portion to help you out and about the actual Fellow Tutor software.
